If you don’t fancy being waited on hand and foot then this is the expedition for you. You’ll still get an amazing expert guide to accompany you on the journey but apart from that, you’re on your own. Carry all your own equipment, set up your own camp and sort your own food. Cook for yourself or enjoy the hospitality that’s on offer locally.
We’ll book your campsites for you and sort the logistics out so you just need to arrive at the start point ready for an adventure.

Day 3 – 14.6 miles

If you want to bring your own equipment for this trip then that’s fine with us but please bare in mind the following:
Boards should be suitable for touring. Due to the distances covered we’d recommend a minimum of 11’4″. A short river fin of around 4″ as the river can be shallow in places. Even better if it’s flexible, and you have a spare.
We can only transport boards that are not inflated but if you’re nice we’ll let you borrow our electric pump at Hereford.
Buoyancy aids should conform to a minimum of BS EN 393:1994
We can supply you with a 40l drybag and two 20l ones. If you don’t think all your kit will fit then you’ll need to bring additional bags.
If you’re unsure about the suitability of any of your equipment please get in touch before your trip. Alternatively just use ours, you’re more than welcome to.
